Single-Leg Calf Raise with Band
Calves
- Target muscles: calves
- Equipment: resistance band
- Level: intermediate
How to do it
- Place the ball of one foot on the edge of a low platform, weight on that leg.
- Run the band under that foot and hold its end in your hand, fixing your hand at your hip — the band should be taut.
- Lower your heel below the platform, feeling the stretch in your calf.
- Rise onto your toes as high as possible, overcoming the band's resistance.
- Hold for a moment at the top and lower your heel under control.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps, then switch legs.
